Workshops, Seminar and Presentations

This is ridiculus!! A Research Workshop tt lasts for 3 DAMN mornings, with 3 DAMN reports/presentation to be handed in by 5PM every evening... i tink the way ARDC carries out this workshop is useless... DEFINTELY... Wat's the point of explaining several pts on the topic, then leave the students to complete a report on their own by sourcing for info on the Internet in order to "show" their supervisors tt they had learnt something on the topics?? Tt is the reaction i had for the lst 2 sessions...

Todae's the 3rd session, learning how to analyse data. This time, we were given a set of data to analyse... At least this is better as CLEAR guideliness were given to us to come up w a PowerPoint presentation. BUT, this whole thing is reali reali v v v lame leh...

We had spent 3 days on the reports and presentation for this Workshop and had completely forgotten that we STILL have a presentation to prepare for this Friday. Its on the topic of Pros and Cons of Setting Up Casinos in Singapore... i tink we are doooooooomed... We havent even start our research and stuff and the presentation is like in 1 1/2 days' time... HAHZ...

Going for a HR Seminar later at 2PM leh... Muz be V V V V V sianz de... Still muz change into formal lst, sooooo mafan... Hmmm... i dont feel like going...

Now i m back from the HR Seminar, Hmmmmm... i will like to correct wat i had said previously... The seminar is INTERESTING, v v v v v v interesting... i tink tt's the ONLI seminar tt i reali reali listened to wat the speakers were saying. The lst speaker toked about the topic of looking for jobs thru staffing agencies (their company). This topic is quite new to me so i listened... The 2nd speaker (of another similar company) toked about a case study on how they helpped companies search for the type of employees they required. Even though she speaks monotonously, the topic still caught my attention... Finally, the last speaker, the best of the 3, toked about contract staffing, THE TREND NOW... Wahahahas... Her presentation was marvellous and everybody laughs at her jokes... =)

Got a booklet called "Best Foot Forward: A Guide for Job Seekers", which is quite useful as it gives guides and tips on how u write ur resume, prepare for ur interviews etc... i m quite hungry now as i skipped the refreshments, sooooo going to get something from Cheers... Cya!!
