8D 7N Taiwan "Touch Your Heart" Tour - DAY 2DAY 2: September 4 Chiufen Old Streets (Accoring to the descriptions on the itinerary): The old fashioned way of life still exists. With the aura of an old mining that is still apparent, Chiufen radiates a variety of emotions... The location of Chiufen is on a mountain so the bus trip is sooooo shaky... Cars and motorbikes are able to squeeze thru the narrow alleys so we muz be careful while walking along the alley... Bought loads of their local products like MuaJi and the Famous Sun Biscuit... Hahas...     *Oldies??  *A mini eatery located in a narrow alley... Pple will tend to miss it...   *Nicely-decorated vintage restaurant along the way... Even the Menu is oldies enough!!   *In TW, for one kind of food, the shop will offer LOADs of flavours...  *Yes. Those are coconuts... *laughs*  *Even Starbucks Coffee blend into the surroundings...  *Ah!! i saw GARFIELD!! =D Made a stop at the Petrol Station lst be4 leaving for the nx attraction...  Nantien Temple: Landmark of Nafanau. Also the centre for traditional religion of local citizens. Saw both the Jade and Gold statues of MaZhu... According to the local guide, money used to build the temple, the statues and everything were all money contributed by the locals living there... Su Hua National Road: The onli road to get to Hualien. All i noe is we were going up a mountain, coming down the mountain, going up another mountain, coming down tt mountain... Pple started feeling uneasy during the trip as the roads were reali bumpy... One good thing is tt we get to see the scenaries tt we will nv get to see in Singapore... When going thru a tunnel, we were caught in a traffic jam for more than an hour... The cause of the traffic jam was due to the construction of roads after a minor land slide... Wahhhh... The local guide was telling us tt this is common in TW esp during rainy days... Our grp was considered lucky, if we were to go TW in October or later, the rain will be even heavier and we may even kanna typhoon... 0_0 Hahas... Wan to guess how long is my bus trip along the Su Hua National Road?? 6 HOURS!!     *Mountains and mountains and mountains...   *Tt's the Pacific OCEAN!! Ami Aboriginal Cultural Village: A-Mei - aboriginal tribe in Hualien. People of A-Mei are renowned by their beautiful voice and fascinating lifestyle. HAHAHA... This was a complete waste of my time... WTH!! Looking at the same pple dancing almost the same steps... i can see tt those dancers were restless BECAUSE less than 1/4 of the theatre is occupied... YEA!! Tt's how pathetic it was... Upon the finale, those performers started to drag audiences to the stage to dance and take pics w them... Hahas... Its juz one of their ways to earn tourists' money... A pic costs NT$400, which is SGD$20!! MADDIES!! Everybody else in our grp and other grps went w them when they come to drag pple BUT the 6 of us juz remained in our seats... Hahas... Something to note is tt they tried to drag us to the stage too BUT when we rejected them, they IMMEDIATELY gave us a disgusted look... WTFH!! Watever lah, we juz ignored them and walked out of the theatre... Another thing to note is tt a Japanese o-ji-san refused to buy the pic tt he had took w them... The girl continued to pester him all the way to the toilet, forcing him to buy the pic... O_O Had buffet dinner at the hotel we will be staying in tonite, Hualien Parkview Hotel... Another so-called 5-star hotel in TW... My mood had not been good after the trip to the Cultural Village... And now, the dinner pissed me off even more... They considered themselves as a 5-star hotel BUT they dont even offer the simplest vegetarian food?? Why muz they mix meat, onions and garlic even in VEGETABLES?? HAHAHA... In the end, my dinner was...  *Pastries and cakes!! Facilities in the hotel were good though... After a shower, my cousin and i made our way to their club, trying to find their KTV. Went to play billiard instead... Spent sometime trying to tell the person-in-charge tt we wanted to play billiard... WTH!! The hotel 'labelled' the room as 'Billiard Room' and the person-in-charge DONT NOE wats BILLIARD??!! O_O... Bought some food be4 going back to our room to feast...  *Yummy~~ 23:56 > こずえ |
