8D 7N Taiwan "Touch Your Heart" Tour - DAY 6DAY 6: September 8 This morning's breakfast at the Yeso e-hotel sux!! Its the worst breakfast i had ever eaten in TW... Bleh~ The place the hotel had for breakfast was sooooo tiny tt i tink at most they can onli squeeze 15 pple?? Hahas... Another thing was tt the pple dont replenish food after everything was taken... HAHAHA... So those pple who came late had nothing much left to eat... =(   *It looks like we will be having a rainy day todae... National Palace Museum: Holds the world's largest collection of priceless Chinese art treasures, which spans Chinese's nearly 5000 year of history.  *i love this 'roof'!! Hahas... Snapped this pic while i was on the escalator... =D Its a museum, which means BORING-NESS!! Hahas... Nothing much to see there plus we had a v Poor guide w us... Tt made everybody a bit restless... Hahas... There was another girl in our grp, the 2 of us were following a Japan tour grp and trying to listen to the Jap guide rather than our grp's guide... Wahahahas... Stuff Bought:   * 2 nice magnets for myself. Both featuring some significant collections of the museum... **Sketch book for Fer-li-xia... Martyr's Shrine: Watch an elaborate ceremony of changing guards at hourly intervals.   It started drizzling... Sianz... This was supposed to be another boring site BUT everybody was having loads of fun taking pics w the guards... The 2 guards were facing each other yea... If its me, i will be laughing like MAD already lah, esp w all the tourists taking pics... Hahas...  *According to the guide, these guards were supposed to stand for 2 hours w/o moving AND even BLINKING!! At least now they were onli required to stand for 1 hour still w/o moving BUT at least they can blink... *laughs* Off for lunch at a famous restaurant in TW... We will having Xiaolong Pau from 'dian shui lou'... Hmmmm... The local guide said tt the chef was formerly working at Ding Tai Feng yea...    *Conclusion: Ehhh... The noodle was NICE!! The pau was onli so-so... The rice-cake for dessert sux... Hmmmm... Wat an inconsistent quality control... Hehehe... Tamshui Old Street and Fisherman's Wharf: It's a town with beautiful views and colourful history. See the unforgettable famous Tamshui sunset view.   *OMG!! Heavy rain... Good thing tt we still managed to see the famous local specialties - Ah-Po Tie Dan and Ah-Gei...  * O_O Stuff Bought:    *Bought this sweet becoz of the packaging... =D **Strawberry HP pouch for myself (PS: But i m not sure if i m going to use it... Hehes...) ***Piggy HP pouch for Jeanne...   *HP accessories for frens... Shihlin Night Market: A great place for tasting local snacks and bargains. Went there at ard 16:45, so its still quite early as a number of stores where not opened yet... Hahas... Finally we get to see the night market tt could onli be seen on TV shows like 'Shi Zi Lu Kou' last time!! =D Found a store which also sells vegetarian pasta and of coz, get to try one of the pastas and a bowl of sweet corn soup... It's such a pity tt i forgot to a picture of it... Hahz... Maybe i was too hungry le... This afternoon's noodle dont noe digested to where already lah...  *The shop's menu. Blue-squared section marks the variety of vegetarian food available in tt pasta shop... HAHAHA... Its even MORE than pastamania yea!! After the trip to Shihlin Night Market, we went straight for dinner at a steamboat buffet restaurant... WAHAHAHA...  *One pot for each person... It was a RIGHT choice for me to eat something at the night market lst be4 dinner as the steamboat SUX!! Hahas... How to say leh... Their soup base is tasteless!! No matter if u asked for herbal or spicy soup base, both were tasteless!! And of coz, the ingredients u dumped in to cook were all tasteless... Another thing is some of the vegetarian ingredients offered had already turned bad yea... YUCK!! Hmmmm... My cousin (who isnt vegetarian) said tt their food and meat all those were OKAY!! =( Checked into tonite's hotel - GRAND HYATT!! Wahhhhhh!! It's the REAL 5-STAR YEA!! Hahahas... While waiting for the guides to help us check in, we went to...   *Check out the 'Xing Guang Da Dao'!! Hahas... The hotel was holding a charity ball at their Grand Ballroom nei... Even the media was there to snap pics and conduct interviews!! Hahas... Took a cabbie and headed off to Hsienmenting again!! Continued at where we stopped last nite and shopped for 1 and a half hour... As it was raining quite heavily, so we went back to the hotel... Stuff Bought:  *Jay's new album!! Hahas... Its selling like hotcakes in TW lah... i also dont noe why i buy yea... Hahas... My cousin kept asking me to buy BECOZ he want to burn... Oops... Attraction Missed: Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall: Built in homage to the former president of the Republic of China - Chiang Kai-Shek. Supposed to go to this place be lunch de... However, due to the nx day's beginning of protest demanding the TW president to step down, the place now was being blocked and guarded... Hmmmmm... 23:05 > こずえ |
